Today Sky announced that they are teaming up with the one and one Sir David Attenborough to launch a brand new virtual reality experience from the pair that has been dubbed Hold the World.
It will provide an entirely new VR experience that will allow you to look at rare objects, fossils, bones, and skulls in the world of virtual reality with their existing headset.
This also comes as part of a partnership with the Natural History Museum, from whom they will be showing the objects that you will be observing within a combination of interactive video game technology and a TV documentary, Attenborough will also feature in the content as a hologram, providing participants with a guided tour about the fossils.
Sir David Attenborough said the following about it:
“I have enjoyed helping people to discover more about the natural world, and Hold The World offers people a unique opportunity: to examine rare objects, some millions of years old, up close. It represents an extraordinary new step in how people can explore and experience nature, all from the comfort of their own homes and I am delighted to be able to help users uncover some of the treasures the Natural History Museum has to offer in a thrilling new way.”
