You may know Skullcandy well for their headphone and earphone range, but I bet you didn’t know they made gaming gear too their latest of which, the PLYR2 Wireless Gaming Headset was revealed today and is the second of the company’s new gaming headsets.

The PLYR2 has been made to provide “pitched audio and crystal clear voice chat via the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac and most mobile gaming solutions” and with the 2.4GHz wireless technology the PLYR2 will also include an improved performance as well as being extremely reliable.

The new gaming headset will also include Skullcandy’s Supreme Sound technology which according to the company will provide “more precise highs and deeper lows”, to transmit the headphones use the GMX Stereo Transmitter which allows for custom balancing of both game and voice sound, there’s also three EQ sound modes that can be chosen, Bass Mode, Supreme Mode and Precision Mode.

All of which have been developed specifically for use with games, music and movies, there’s even an adjustable boom mic that when flipped upwards it will go into mute mode.

The SkullCandy PLYR2 headset is available now in the US in black, white and teal for $129.99, I’m not sure if these will ever hit the UK, but you can check the press release for more information in the meantime.
