Sky have today updated their Sky+ app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, allowing it to be used to change channels, play, pause and rewind programmes shown on their Sky box.

The features are similar to those which was brought to the iPad earlier this year allowing you to easily control what you watch with a simple wipe or tap of a finger, alongside which Sky TV Customers can also access the Sky+ planner through the app, allowing them to browse existing recordings as well as set up new ones or delete previous recordings without disrupting TV viewing.

It does this by connecting to the users Sky+ HD box over the same WiFi network, so all you need to do is plug your Sky+ box into your router and then connect your iPhone over WiFi and your good to go.

The new features will also be launching on Android within the next few months, check out the link below to download the update.
