Sky has today announced that the have attained the rights to show the entire Star Wars catalogue in the Uk from Fox and Disney, what this means is that they will be able to host the UK’s first-ever 48-hour Star Wars marathon on TV.

It will all kick off on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, during which time Sky will run all six films back to back alongside a number of specials and features from Lucasfilm.

Non Sky subscribers will also be able to access the marathon as all of the movies will be available via Now TV.

Of course this is all leading up to the release of Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens, which is due for release later this year.

Until that time May the 4th be with you.
