Sky and Microsoft have today announced that they are launching a TV app on the Xbox One from today.

Allowing Xbox One owners who have a Sky Go Extra or Sky Multiscreen subscription to watch shows on their console, Sky’s new Xbox One app allows users to watch live shows and on-demand content on their console.

Those who don’t have a subscription can also sign up to the free two-month trial, all you have to do is download the Sky app and you’re good to go.

Those who do subscribe to the app will also get access to 1,000 movies, as well as box sets, liveTV and sports content.

Luke Bradley-Jones, brand director, Sky TV stated the following about the launch:

“We’re really excited to add Xbox One to our line-up of supported devices. Xbox One customers can now watch the latest from Sky TV with our big winter line up including The Last Panthers, Fungus The Bogeyman and Scandal – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
