Microsoft has today announced the SkyDrive application for Android available for download today, the app will allow you to access you files from your smartphone and joins the already released mobile apps for Windows Phone and iOS.

The new app will be available for download from the Google Play Store and will work on any device running Android 2.3 although it has been designed with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in mind.

The app will allow you to access your SkyDrive documents, photos and other files and even those shared with you, you can also chose multiple photos or videos for upload to your drive from your phone, share your files and photos and open them from other Android apps/
