This week Sky announced its full year financial results for the 12 months up to the 30th June, 2016.

In these results, Sky announced some pretty interesting results.

During these 12 months, Sky gained 808,000 new customers and sold 3.3 million new products.

Jeremy Darroch, Group Chief Executive at Sky commented with the following about it:

“ With revenue up 7% and profits up 12 %, it’s been another excellent year for Sky. We have broadened our business and expanded into new consumer segments , applying our proven strategy a cross the group.

Sky has said that they continue to sustain strong performance in the Uk and Ireland, where they have managed to gain over £8 billion in revenue.

A lot of these results could be due to the recently released Sky Q TV system, which they say was widely appreciated by customers, with 9 out of 10 of their customers saying that they would recommend it.

We were one of those who recommended it in our review.
