BT wasn’t the only one to announce a new sports service today, Sky’s Now TV service did too, announcing a new monthly pass for Sky’s sports channels that adds to their already existing entertainment and movies packages.
Previously if you used Now TV you would only be able to pay for 24 hours or a weeks access to the Sky Sports line-up, so this feature is something that users have been asking for, especially since it offers users complete access to live programming from all seven of Sky’s sports channels.
The Sports Monthly Pass will be priced at £31.99 a month and will be available without a contract, meaning you can cancel it at any point and then re-enable it at any point after that, making it great if you want access during a particular sporting event.
You can still grab the weekly passes and daily passes if you prefer, a week pass is priced at £10.99 and a day pass is priced at £6.99.
In comparison, with Sky TV you would have to purchase a £25.50 Sky Sports package to access the same. This is on contract and is added to your existing monthly subscription, so if you don’t want to be tied down Now TV might be a better option for just a few more pounds.
You can also get access to Sky’s movie channels for £9.99 a month on Now TV, as well as to 12 premium entertainment channels for £6.99 a month.
