Slingbox is very well-known for their HD quality streamers, that can stream content you would normally watch on a TV anywhere in the world.

Today they have made this service even better with the introduction of the Sliingbox 500 and 350, which have been completely redesigned and provide up to 1080p video quality.

However there are a few differences between the two, the first is within the Slingbox 500 which will pack Wi-Fi, allowing users to stream content without the hassle of wires.

Alongside this the 500 also includes integrated IR emitters for controlling any set-top box you may have plugged in, as well as HDMI, component and composite inputs and outputs.

But probably the biggest change is the facelift, which as you can see from the image above is pretty striking, but that’s not all as the new boxes also include a new feature to allow users to placseshift content, allowing them to receive content on one device and then simply flick it over to their TV.

As you can probably tell by now the Slingbox 350 is the budget model within the two new boxes, available from October 14th for just $179.99 (around £110), which is surprisingly cheap for a HD streamer.

The Slingbox 500 will also be available from October 14th for a bit more expensive at $299 which is about £190.

At the moment we don’t have any news on a UK release date or pricing structure, but we will update this as soon as we find out, in the meantime check out the source link below.
