Samsung has today introduced their new remote control, dubbed the Smart Control remote it is a successor to the remote they unveiled last year, and will be previewed at CES 2014 next week.

The Smart Control remote will feature two main improvements, including a new shape and a few more accessibility options, featuring a brand new oval shape, Samsung says it’s almost “pebble-like” and ergonomic, and features new gesture controls, allowing you to flip through menus by moving the remote itself.

The remote can also be used to control a television with its mic or touchpad, both of which were available in last years remote.

Pricing and availability for the remote is yet to be revealed, however we should hear more at CES 2014 next week.
