Sol Republic have just announced their latest set of headphones to hit the market, called the Sol Republic Master Tracks XC, they have been created with the help of Calvin Harris and designed to provide professional sounding music that is both “sonically accurate for music creation, yet powerful and sleek enough for the most passionate music fan. ”

Featuring a unique over ear design, the headphones have a certain good look about them, and have been designed with a smooth, slim-line finish that Calvin Harris says was inspired by the studio, created to make you feel as if you were in an expensive studio, but without having to actually be in one.

Sol Republic have also spent some time on the headphones comfort in order for them to feel great during long periods of use, which has been coupled with a design that they claim to be “Virtually Indestructible” (backed by a 1,000 day no-breakage guarantee), making them perfect for on the go listening.

Alongside this, Sol Republic have also thought about the need to sometimes swap input ports, creating a new rugged cable that can switch between a 3.5mm jack and a 1/4 inch one, which simply secures to the end of the cable when not in use, and with a 3-button mic control they would be great for listening to music from your smartphone or tablet.

The Sol Republic Master Tracks XC headphones will be available in November from HMV, John Lewis and Amazon for £229.99, in the meantime however, you can find out more about the headphones at, or by checking out the video below.
