A new and interesting laptop has hit the web, called the Sol the new laptop is equipped with solar panels, that will allow the laptop to charge purely from the sun when unfolded.

Running on Ubuntu, the laptop created by the Canadian company, WeWi Telecommunications will last up to ten hours from a two-hour charge using only solar energy.

Created for use in developing countries where electricity is hard to come by, the Sol will pack an Intel processor, WiFi connectivity and a Full HD display.

There’s also the option to add a satellite module to connect to the internet without WiFi.

Full availability details are yet to be announced, but the laptop is said to be available for just $300.
