A company called Bar Works has this week revealed some interesting news.

Already to operate a number of co-working spaces in New York, and this week they have decided to expand this to the UK, revealing that they have leased a total of 15 of BT’s telephone boxes in London, Leeds and Edinburgh.

With this, they plan to convert them into small offices, fitting them out with WiFi access, a printer/scanner, 25-inch monitor, mouse, powerbank and a hot drinks machine.

They will be aimed at entrepreneurs and will be accessible at any time of the day or night if you have a “Pod Works” subscription, which costs £19.99 a month and is controlled over the app for smartphones.

The CEO of Bar Works explained:

“Entrepreneurs constantly on the move need a convenient, affordable and private place to work.”

“Why should they sit in Starbucks or any other coffee bar when using one of our Pods will allow them to truly focus on their job before an important meeting or presentation at less than the price of two cups of coffee a week?”

It will be interesting to see if this work when Bar Works completes the conversion of the phone boxes.
