Ahead of its official announcement, a guy in Chicago spotted the Moto 360 2 in the wild, took a snap of it and then posted it to his Google+ page for all of us to see.

The guy who saw it was Gerrit Gödecke, he captured the new smartwatch whilst traveling on a Chicago commuter train, which has a number of Motorola employees on it apparently.

We already know that the Moto 360 2 is a thing as Lenovo has already confirmed its upcoming announcement, which has come along with a number of leaks that have been posted over the last few months. From this we can see that the Moto 360 2 will be the first smartwatch model from Motorola that will have larger lugs to connect to its leather strap.

We have also seen that there’s a new button on the right that has been moved to the 2 o’clock position, with a flat black area at the bottom of the display.

Along with this we have seen regulatory fillings from overseas regulators that show Motorola will offer the new smartwatch in both small and large sizes.

However as of yet we have nothing official, we do expect that something will be announced at IFA 2015.
