When launched Sony claimed that the Xperia S was a PlayStation Certified device, but left a lot of gamers confused when they found out they actually couldn’t download any games to the device, today Sony has rectified that with the addition of the PlayStation Store to the device along with 14 classic PS One titles.

If you want to gain access to the store you’re going to have to do a few things first, step one is to enable your device to install apps not obtained from the Android Market, which can be done through Settings > Applications and enable Unknown Sources.

After that, you’re gonna have to tap on the ‘Let’s start PS Store’, which you should be able to find in your apps tray, once this is open it should allow you to download the PlayStation Store and various PlayStation Pocket applications. And then you’re in, once there you’ll find around 16 PS-One games, some, however, may not be enabled for your device so just make sure you check before making the effort, here are some titles you will be able to download, however:

  • Twisted Metal
  • Kula World
  • MediEvil
  • Rayman
  • Jumping Flash!
  • Destruction Derby
  • Jet Rider
  • Jet Rider 2
  • Cool Boarders
  • Kurushi Final
  • Everybody’s Golf
  • The Little Mermaid II
  • Championship Bass
  • Driver

What do you think? Have you purchased any of these titles yet?
