You may have noticed that Sony sent out an invite to their PlayStation event earlier (if you didn’t here’s a link), but didn’t mention what they would actully be talking about, of course we all probably have a pretty good guess.

It seems however that The Wall Street Journal have decided to burst our guessing bubble, reporting from “sources” that Sony will unveil the PlayStation 4 during this event, and even begin to ship it by Christmas 2013.

Other rumors suggest the console, which has been codenamed Orbis will include an 86 AMD processor at 3.2GHz, 2GB of RAM a Blu-Ray drive, 1080p output, 320GB HDD and even be 10x more powerful than the current PS3.

Of course at the moment that’s all simply a rumor.
