There’s still more announcements to come from Sony yet, revealing a refreshed version of its eBook Reader, that they say will now charge with enough power to read an entire 600 page book from a three-minute charge.

There’s also a protective snap cover built into the reader, and uses an iPad sleep/wake design instead of a power button.

Also featured is a 1024 x 758 E-Ink Pearl screen that features the highest resolution featured in one of their readers yet, there’s also advanced page refresh technology for a smoother experience.

A full recharge will also provide up to two months of regular reading before being charged again, and it is ready too be used with a variety of eBook files that include ePub, PDF, TXT, Russia’s FB2, and picture files, such as JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG, which the reader can store 2GBs worth of internally, or more with a microSD card yet.

The new Sony Reader will be available in Europe from September, for a yet to be announced price.
