Alongside the announcement of the Xperia Z Ultra, Sony has today announced a new device to join their Xperia line. Dubbed the Sony Xperia C, the new device will feature a 5 inch qHD display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution.

It will also be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6859 processor, with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of in-built storage and a microSD card slot that allows for expandablity up to 32GB.

On the front of the device the Xperia C will pack a 0.3 megapixel camera with an 8 megapixel shooter on the rear that features Sony’s Exmor R sensor.

Alongside all of that the device will also feature dual SIM card slots with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Confirmed to be heading to China first, there’s no news yet on whether it will launch in any other countries or any word on its pricing.
