For the PlayStation 4 Sony may be getting rid of the DualShock controller completely, in favor of something a bit more up to date, sources speaking to CVG who claims to be a “senior game studio” representative claims that the new controller design will be released alongside the next-gen console.

Alongside this the controller is also said to feature a touchscreen and biometric sensors, modeled to that of the PS Vita.

After which a second source claimed Sony has been “trying to emulate the same user interface philosophies as the PlayStation Vita”, the controller will also work with some kind of motion-based applications.

Of course all we at the moment are rumors, but should here something official soon.
