Sony’s 13 inch Digital Paper E-Ink Slate device was revealed some time ago, however that was without the announcement of a price.

Thankfully we now have details for that price, with the US based distributor Worldox announced that the slate will be priced at $1100, which is obviously a price tag that is aimed at the professional user, with the slate to be aimed at enterprise markets that includes legal, higher education and governments.

However a lot of sites have reported that the device could go down in the future, with a further push towards students.

In terms of specs the E Ink Slate features a 13.3 inch E Ink Mobius display with a 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution, digital pen and active digitiser, alongside 2.8GB of internal storage, with microSD card support.

There’s also Wi-Fi connectivity available, and the device on weighs 13 ounces, with support to both view and edit PDF files.

There’s no word yet on availably or pricing for residents outside of the US.
