At MWC 2017 Sony unveiled a new projector that can be used on the go, called the Sony Touch projector it will launch in spring 2017 and is a simple projector system that can project a 23-inch HD touchscreen display onto pretty much any flat surface.

It looks similar to an external hard drive, with a rounded box design and simplistic colour scheme, but it is a lot more than that.

The projector comes with Android OS pre-installed to allow you to project any Android app or game from the Google Play Store or real-time weather information, memo boards, a calendar, or even a Skype interface in 720p at a size from 23 to 80-inches depending on the distance from the surface that you are projecting onto.

It makes this a touchable projection via an infrared sensor and real-time detection software, which uses the integrated 60fps camera to translate the projected image into a virtual touchscreen that you can control from a table, wall, or worktop.

The Sony Xperia Touch projector will be available across Europe this spring for €1500.
