Sony have had quite a few bad years since 2008, making a loss each year its financial results are released, however finally for it’s 2012 financial results it’s back in profit.

The results which ended on March 31st, show the company with a net profit of 43 billion yen which is about £280 million, with mobile phone sales increasing 102% year-on-year, and Sony Pictures increasing 11.4%, the company seems to be back on the right path once more.

It’s not all good however, with PS3, PSP and PS Vita under performing in sales and a 22.5% decrease in sales within the home entertainment and sound department of the company.

However profit is still profit, and it’s nice to see that the company is beginning to find its feet once more.
