In a new and unique way of both marketing and selling their waterproof MP3 players, Sony has today begun selling the new Sony Waterproof MP3 Players in a bottle of water, available from vending machines in various leisure centres and health clubs.

The idea was the brain child of the advertising agency DraftFCB, who created the campaign in order to boost sales in New Zealand.

This comes after the players launched some time ago, and clearly markets one of their greatest uses, being waterproof in a depth up to 2 metres or 6.6 feet.

Sony also state that the W Series Waterproof Walkman can also last up to an hour from just three minutes of charging time.

The player itself connects the headphones and MP3 player together via a tension band, which is supplied in small, medium and large.
