Sony might not be very happy this week after its Sony SmartBand 2 has leaked on a companion app early, appearing in the Google Play Store briefly on Thursday.

As usual however, it did not last very long and was quickly deleted from the store.

That said Xperia Blog did notice the app quickly, and got a range of app screenshots and even a render of the new Sony SmartBand 2 up on their site.

Officially listed as the SmartBand 2 SWR12, it is listed with a pulse and heart rate monitor, and will work with Sony’s Lifelong app and will include an alarm clock feature that will vibrate for notifications.

As of yet there is no word on when the SmartBand 2 will launch, or for how much it will cost, however we expect it will be debuted soon for a similar price to the previous Sony SmartBand, which was priced at $99.
