This week Sony teased a new 4K TV that is quite the looker.

Called the Sony XD9, it is a huge TV that is sized at a massive 100-inches, however, that does mean it takes up quite a bit of extra space than other models on the market.

Thankfully, it’s a good looking piece of kit, featuring its own integrated floor stand and Sony’s Backlight Master Drive technology, which can provide individual LED backlight control to allow you to personalise it as you wish.

It also comes with full 4K HDR support and features support for Google Cast and Android TV.

Sony explained more about it with the following:

For the ultimate in picture quality, this TV pairs the brilliance of 4K clarity with the brightness, color, and detail of High Dynamic Range (HDR). Previously hidden areas of dark shadow and sunlight are now full of clarity and detail. Like you’re really standing there on the beach, watching the sun go down, the 4K HDR Processor X1™ Extreme creates a reality that you can feel.

See stars in the sky at night in new detail. The Backlight Master Drive delivers deeper black and brighter lights. Previously hidden details come to life, making scenes more real than ever before. No distractions, just focus on what you’re watching. The pale gold bezel helps the TV look good in any room while cables stay cleverly hidden at the back and the front. The dense, rich, and powerful slate design encapsulates the viewing experience.

Sony has not revealed any information on the pricing or worldwide availablity for the Sony XD9 yet, however, as soon as we know, we will let you know.
