Today Sony announced a new range of TVs that are friendly to your wallet.

Called the XE70, this new range of 4K HDR TVs have been designed to provide you with top specs at a budget price tag, including support for 4K HDR playback, 4K HDR Netflix and Amazon Video, and Sony’s own X-Reality Pro image processing technology, which analyses every aspect of the image that is being displayed on the screen so that it matches with an image database, improving textures, contrast colours, and edges according to Sony.

Netflix and Amazon Video will come pre-installed, however, 4K HDR will also work with Sky Q and other set-top boxes like Virgin Media’s and BT’s, as well as with content from the installed Opera web browser and the three USB ports.

To top that off, it will have Motionflow XR technology included, which promises to keep fast-moving scenes performing properly by creating and inserting frames in between the original scenes to minimise motion blur at fast speeds.

These features will be included in the full range of new XE70 TVs, including the 49-inch, 55-inch, and the 65-inch.

They also look pretty sleek.

But it’s not all picture quality and style, the new XE70 range also features Sony’s ClearAudio+ technology to provide better dialogue, music, and sound effect clarity, with enough separation to make sure every aspect is heard by the viewer.

They also come with the Cinematic S-Force Surround technology, which aims to emulate a surround sound effect using the left and right channels of the TV.

Unfortunately, Pricing for the XE70 series has yet to be revealed, but we do know that the series will be launched in July.
