Sony have just announced the latest handset to be joining this years Xperia smartphone lineup, dubbed the Xperia M, it will be aimed at the lower side of budget range, although it actully packs decent enough specs.

With a 4 inch FWVGA screen, packing an 854 x 480 pixel resolution, with scratch resistant glass a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon SoC processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage.

The Xperia M will also include a microSD slot for support with cards sized up to 32GB, with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with an Exmor RS sensor and a flash, and a front facing camera too, but there’s no details on the megapixels yet.

Also included is support for HSPA+, with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity, the Android 4.1 handset also includes a multicoloured notification light bar.

Available from Q3 2013, you will be able to pick up the Xperia M in black, white, purple or yellow in both single and dual SIM versions.
