Today Sony announced their latest firmware update for the PS3, the new 3.70 firmware adds better 3D functionality as well as improving the streaming section of the XrossMediaBar, the new firmware will be available from today with a total size of 190MB, and will include the two features mentioned above.

The added 3D functionality will allow the PS3 to support MPO files, and the playback of 3D Blu-Ray content, the TV section of the media bar has also been changed and is now called the TV/Video services, this is now where you can find all of the streaming content available to you in your country.

But that’s not it Sony has also added a new recommendation feature, which can be used to message your PS3 friends about any and all new games or content that you find interesting.
