Sony has today announced that their cloud gaming services will be available in the US from 2014, which means it won’t be ready when the system launches.

However when  it does launch, it will provide services on both the PS4 and PS3 as well as the PS Vita soon after, and will provide access to a catalog of PS3 titles to download and play.

These games will basically be streamed using Gaikai’s proprietary network technology, playable straight away.

There’s no news on whether or when the service will launch in other territories such as the UK yet.
