Mobile World Congress 2014 will kick off in Barcelona later this month, allowing OEMs to show off what they have been working on over the last year, one of these OEMs is Sony, whom today revealed that their own press event will kick off on February 24th at 8:30am CET.

They did not however reveal their plans for the event, however judging by the rumours, we might see the next generation flagship from the company, which is expected to feature a 5.2 inch display with a 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 SoC processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 20.7 megapixel camera for photos and videos, with a 15.5MP manual camera mode setting, and a 2.1MP front-facing camera, as well as Android 4.2.2 KitKat pre-installed.

Xperia Blog also suggests that we might see the successor to the Xperia Tablet Z during the show, however for the official stuff we will just have to wait.
