Sony teased a new personal assistant prototype at Mobile World Congress 2016 this week, called the Sony Xperia Agent it is fitted with a rotating camera that is controlled by a small robot.

This robot allows it to rotate on the spot, and has been designed to compete with other devices like Amazon’s Echo.

To do this, it uses an inbuilt camera to recognise faces and perform certain tasks according to do that.

Not only that, but the Xperia Agent also features technology to let you know about notifications about the user’s appointments, reminders, weather and more.

It is also equipped with a projector to show images on a desktop surface in front of the device, allowing for an interactive interface that can be touched for control.

Check out the video below to see it in action, at the moment, Sony hasn’t revealed details as to when the Xperia Agent will make its way to the consumer market.
