This week Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb (Major Nelson) announced some new changes to the Xbox One.

Hyrb announced this new feature on his Twitter account, teasing the release of a feature that will allow you to turn off the Xbox One’s startup sound.

In these tweets he released a set of images of what this menu would look like, allowing you to make the console chime only when you turn the console on via voice or the power button, or in addition to when you turn it off.

We don’t yet know when this feature will be released, however, it’s likely that the feature will hit preview members will get it first.
