Since its conception we have always known that SpaceX’s main goal is to land on Mars, today they revealed that they plan to reach this goal as early as 2018, instead of their previous 2022 goal.
They revealed this news on Twitter today, where they revealed that they plan to send an unmanned Dragon to Mars as soon as 2018, which will also be when they launch their Red Dragons to define the overall Mars architecture according to the company.
As of yet, we don’t know too many details, but we expect that SpaceX might reveal more about it over the next couple of years.
