Even though there’s still a month to go until LG reveals the Optimus G2 at their event, it seems EnGadget already have all of the details, receiving both specs and images of the phone from an anonymous tipster earlier today.
Reportedly sporting a 5.2 inch 1080p display, the screen on the G2 looks to be near to an edge-to-edge design, with a small bezel around the edge.
The images also reveal the removal of the usual capacitive navigation buttons, in favor of onscreen navigation, however probably the weirdest part of the phone is the volume rocker placement. Located just below the 13 megapixel camera, it seems LG may be targeting this phone at mobile photographers.
They have also received specs that the G2 will also pack a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, with 2GB of RAM, and running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Of course these are just rumors at the moment, the official stuff will be revealed at LG’s event on August 7th.
