The Spike Video Game Awards, or as they were previously shortened to, VGAs are set to kick off on Saturday December 7th with a brand new name, the VGX which a lot of sites are stating might be in order to focus on next-generation gaming, although the show will be pretty much the same deal of world-premiere trailers, demos and interviews for this and next years upcoming and current games for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to the VGX website, the show will kick off at 6PM ET and will last award three hours, during which time viewers can watch the show globally on the Spike, Comedy Central, MTC, MTV2, BET and GameTrailers websites as well as on Twitch.

The show will also be viewable on their applications for Android, iOS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

As of yet the nominees for the awards are yet to be revealed, but gamers can already vote on the Most Anticipated Game Award, with the chose of either Destiny, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Titanfall, Watch Dogs and The Witchier 3: Wild Hunt.
