According to The Verge, Spotify has today started to push a new update for its desktop client, brining a brand new interface, the app is reportedly a lot cleaner than the previous one with a new darker theme, new larger text, rounded graphics and filtered artwork.

Artist pages look to be the most changed, with less tracks featured on the single page, and a new dark filter on top of the cover image. There’s also a new circular avatar for each artist.

However throughout most of the app, all the update brings is a new look and some tweaks, labeled as version 0.9.8, The Verge only noted a few tweaks from the update, including a grid display from suggestions in the Discover tab, new track sharing options and new look playback controls.

At the moment The Verge is only reporting the release of the update for Mac, however some readers have commented about a version for Windows. We are yet to see either.
