Spotify has this week announced its latest figures, revealed that the music streaming service now has over 60 million users, a number which is based on the amount of active users who use the service on a regular basis each and every month.

On top of that the streaming service also announced that its paid subscriber base has now hit 15 million, a number which has gone up from 12.5 million in the last two months.

And before 2014 turned into 2015, we reached 15 million subscribers and 60 million active users!

On top of this Spotify also revealed that the service is now being used on more mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones than on desktops, with mobile usage now accounting for 52 percent of all usage numbers.

Breaking that down, 42% of the usage is on mobile phones and 10% is on tablets.

45% of music streaming is now done from the desktop and the final 3% is done from the web.

Average user streams is also now at around 150 minutes of music each month.
