First announced at the companies press event in November 2013, Spotify have today cut the VIP line for their new Web Player, releasing a public beta available to the average joe from today,
.
The player will allow the user to access the service from snide any web browser they choose, ending the need to download the desktop client on every PC you want to use t stream music from.

More importantly, allowing you to use the service n laces where installations are not allowed, such as schools, the workplace or even on a guest/ non-admin account.

The beta still lacks some features for UK uses, including the ability to follow pages and browse your friends playlists, but its likely that these will be added soon.

There is the new What’s New tab however, allowing you to browse the latest releases.

You can try out the service for yourself at https://play.spotify.com/.
