Without any notice Square Enix have just launched their own competitor cloud gaming service named CoreOnline, that will allow gamers to play various Square Enix titles with their web browsers in HD and more importantly for free, well ad-supported, but still free.

The service is currently in beta, so the amount of games have been limited to Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninjas, in order to play users need to watch ads n order to unlock more time within the game, each ad earns about 10 minutes of playthrough depending on the particular advertisement, or you can just pat $0.49 to unlock the level and skip the ads.

Whilst playing I was surprised how well the service held up, I did run into a bit of lag when going into full screen, but for a new service that’s okay.

If you want to try out the service with a playthrough of Hitman: Blood Money here.
