Nintendo have received some bad results in their last quarter, defiantly not ones they should be proud of. In order to boost their incoming revenue, Nintendo have stated that they will try to focus more on digital downloads within its 2DS store.

Well today’s report from CVG does seem to show that, but I;m not sure how the new method will help increase revenue in any way.

As reported by CVG they will be offering the digital download of the New Super Mario Bros 2 game for £10 more than its retail price tag, the digital version of the game will cost £39 but in retail you will be able to pick it up for £29.

Now I’d like to say, I am a bit of a business buff and I am completely sure that this will not bring any more people to the 3DS store and will likely pull them away from downloading any games whatsoever.

So why  is Nintendo doing it? I’m not sure, but the New Super Mario Bros game is not the only title to get this treatment as New Art Academy will also be £5 more in-store and so will Freakyforms Deluxe.
