Swatch and Visa have this week announced that they will be partnering with each other to enable wrist-based mobile payments, with an integration planned that is similar to that of other smartwatches.

Set to be integrated into Swatch’s upcoming Bellamy watch, featuring NFC technology on the front on the watch, and enabling you to pay at various retailers via a connected Visa account.

However according to Reuters, the integration will be available to cardholders in the United States, Switzerland and Brazil to start off with, but we expect more will be added soon after.

Aside from that the Bellamy will be a simple smartwatch, with a focus on simply being a watch rather than something else to distract you.

According to reports the watch will be released in China first in January 2016 where it will sell for 580 yuan in China (around $91), however no details on pricing or other release dates have been released yet.
