During a live event today, Tag Heuer unveiled its latest smartwatch under the Connected line, called the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45, it is a luxury smartwatch that allows you to replace the watches face, depending on your mode, with the option to add-on a mechanical Haute Horlogerie face, along with the option for COSC-certified chronograph tourbillon or a regular automatic three-hand and date style.

The face is sized at 45mm and features and can be expanded with a 400 x 400 pixel Android Wear 2.0 module, should you choose to add that.

Tag Heuer has designed it to be luxury first and foremost, constructed in Switzerland and developed and assembles at Tag Heuer’s manufacturing site in La Chaux-de-Fonds, it features high-quality materials with the option to choose between titanium, ceramic and rose gold finishes, along with the option to add on a lug, strap, or a buckle.

In terms of specifications, the watch is powered by an Intel Atom Z34XX processor with 4GB of onboard storage and features Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC built in, alongside a battery life that Tag Heuer claims to last “over 24 hours”.

It also features a water-resistant design up to 50 metres along with an AMOLED screen that is topped with sapphire glass.

TheTag Heuer Connected Modular 45 is available today from Tag Heuer’s website, starting at £1,400 or $1,650.
