The iPhone has long been rumored to receive a 4 inch display and LTE connectivity, but obviously, in order to power such equipment it will also need a bigger battery, which is apparently what we are seeing in the image above, which boasts a 1,440 mAH capacity which is a small increase from the current 1,430 mAH.

According to 9to5mac the battery will also see an increased voltage to 3.8 volts from the 3.7 volts in the iPhone 4 and 4S alongside an increase in watts-per-hour from 5.3 to 5.45.

These numbers don’t really seem to huge, but it’s likely Apple are keeping it down in order to keep the size down.

As always this is nothing official but we should see something from Apple very soon, or even on September 12th which is the rumored date for the iPhone 5’s announcement.
