We are pretty sure that a lot of you are excited for the release of the five season of Game of Thrones, but if you still need convincing or just want to grab a sneak peak at the new season you will be happy to know that a new teaser trailer for the season has today been released.
The fifth season of Game of Thrones was first confirmed back in April 2014, along with a 6th season to premiere about a year after the 5th seasons completion.
Season 5 is currently scheduled to premiere in 2015 and will be an adaptation from the books “A Feast for Crows” and “A Dance with Dragons”, which are fourth and fifth novels by George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.
“The writing staff for the fifth season includes executive producers and showrunners David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, and Bryan Cogman, as well as Dave Hill, who was promoted to staff writer this season after previously being an assistant to Benioff and Weiss.”
“Author George R. R. Martin, who has written one episode per season, will not write an episode for the fifth season, as he plans to finish writing the sixth novel, The Winds of Winter. The directing staff for the fifth season is Michael Slovis (episodes 1 and 2), Mark Mylod (episodes 3 and 4), Jeremy Podeswa (episodes 5 and 6), Miguel Sapochnik (episodes 7 and 8), and David Nutter (episodes 9 and 10). Nutter is the only returning director, as the rest are first-time Game of Thrones directors.” HBO explained in the teaser description.
Whilst you wait for the new season, why not check out that teaser trailer above (A word of warning, it’s very short).
