Back at The Game Awards in December 2016 Telltale revealed their latest game series which will follow the story of the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
So far we have only seen a brief teaser that showed Starlord’s tape player drifting through space and a 2017 release date, no exact date or month to expect it for.
That said, a Gamestop listing may have just confirmed that news for us.,
According to the listing, the first episode of the Guardians of the Galaxy game will be released on April 25th, 2017 for $29.99 in the US.
That isn’t official yet, and we don’t know anything about the release date for the other five episodes that will be in the game series.
However, the listing did also provide us with the following description:
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series delivers a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes, the rag-tag band of outlaws who go by the names Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of the Guardians has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands. From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, this five-part episodic series puts you in the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, told in the unique and award-winning Telltale style, where your decisions and actions will drive the path of the story you experience.
The game is now available to pre-order from Gamestop.
Shortly after its release the Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 film will be released in theatres worldwide on May 5th, 2017.
