Imangi Studios who are the guys behind the popular mobile game, Temple Run have today announced that their latest sequel, Temple Run 2 has achieved over 20 million downloads in its first four days of being it available, and become the number one free app in the iTunes App Store just eight hours after its release.

At the time of writing the game is also the ~3 Top Grossing App, slightly behind Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga, all of which are of course free to download.

The original Temple Run has been downloaded over 170 million times since it first launched, available on the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Marketplace.

In terms of gameplay, Temple Run 2 has accumulated over 210 million sessions (a combined time of over 1,775 years of gameplay) over the last week.

You can download the app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch from the App Store today, and Android later this week when it is scheduled for release.
