Wifi on trains isn’t that great, something you should know if you have ever used the service before, this is despite plans to improve the internet speed on trains by 10% the current speed within the next three to four years.

Despite these plans National Rail haven’t been completing them as quickly as the UK government planned.

In order to force the improvement the British government have said that they may fine National Rail up to £70 million if the works are not up to scratch within their set deadline.

This comes from a report by the BBC who have stated that this potential may be lessoned due to the recent bad weather, but its still quite a hefty fine when you consider that the budget for the works has been set at £90 million, just £20 million over the fine.
