After a number of trials, Tesco has today launched their own mobile payment app in the UK.
Called Tesco PayQwiq, the app has been designed to offer customers with an easier way to pay at Tesco stores around the UK and collect Clubcard points at the same time, providing a single app that will allow you to collect those points and make purchases of up to £250.
Mark Loch, Digital Wallet and Group Payments Strategy Director, said the following about it:
“PayQwiq offers customers a simple, convenient and secure way to pay that helps them save time at the checkout and collect Clubcard points with one simple scan of their smartphone. Since the initial roll-out of PayQwiq, customer feedback has been very positive and we are delighted to make PayQwiq available to all Tesco customers across the UK.”
You can download the PayQwiq app from the respective app store on your iOS or Android smartphone, after which you can register your debit or credit card within the app by either typing it in manually or by scanning your card.
After which you are ready to get started. To thank users for trying it out, Tesco will also be providing 50 extra Clubcard points with each of their first 10 transactions until May 7th, 2017.
