Tesla didn’t feel like sticking to the numbers during its earnings announcement, so in typical Tesla fashion they decided to unveil something awesome instead, revealing a charging arm (yes arm) that will connect itself to your car.

[column size=two_third position=first ]At the moment the charging arm is still in its prototype stages of development, and the video that was released is more of a proof of concept than an announcement, but from it we can see that Tesla is committed to the development of the charger.

This all comes after the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk first teased the charger back in December.[/column][column size=one_third position=last ][easy-tweet tweet=”The Tesla charging arm is all kinds of strange and awesome at the same time.” user=”TheTechNuttyUK” usehashtags=”no”][/column]

You can watch it in the video below, it shows the Tesla charging arm reaching out to a Tesla Model S, plugging itself in and starting the recharging process.

As it is still in the prototype stage there’s no official details about price of release dates yet, if we do hear anything we will let you know.
