It’s been delayed for some time now, but finally, the next update for the Xbox One is available for all to download, bringing Cortana integration with it.

The summer update brings a number of features besides that, but the Cortana integration is definitely the biggest, taking over from Xbox’s previous integration, Cortana will now take commands from your headset or Kinect, allowing you to make a number of commands with your voice such as searching games, inviting friends and much more.

The summer update also brings better independent party chat with more features to keep you in those chats on bad connections. There’s also a number of store upgrades such as the ability to redeem Xbox credits and buy Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One, all coming alongside the ability to play background music from supporting apps and an easier to use games and apps screen.

And this is just the start, Microsoft has a number of other features that they plan to add in he future, probably the most anticipated is the addition of Play Anywhere, which allows you to share games with your One and PC.
